About Me

I’m Peter – a qualified ADHD Coach, Mediator, Chartered Manager, and people-focused leader who understands first-hand what it’s like to live and work with ADHD in a world that isn’t  designed for neurodivergent minds.

Diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, I’ve experienced many of the challenges that come with differences in focus, organisation, time management, emotional regulation, and consistency.

With strategies and support, I have successfully navigated two demanding professional careers whilst learning how to work with my ADHD rather than against it.
Professional Background

My career began as an HR Officer in the British Army, leaving at the rank of Captain, I went on to senior leadership roles within the National Health Service (NHS).

Across both careers, I’ve led teams, supported individuals in high-pressure environments, and coached professionals to improve performance, wellbeing, and confidence at work.
My Coaching Approach

As an ADHD coach with lived experience, I combine:

•  Evidence-based coaching techniques
•  Real-world leadership experience
•  Neurodiversity-affirming practices
•  Practical executive functioning strategies
My coaching focuses on helping you to:
•  Improve focus and follow-through
•  Build routines that actually stick
•  Manage overwhelm and procrastination
•  Strengthen emotional regulation
•  Work more effectively with your natural ADHD traits

Why Work With Me?

I don’t just understand ADHD professionally — I live it every day.
My goal is to help you move from coping to confidently creating a life and career that aligns with how you think, work, and thrive best.

What is ADHD?

Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder — more commonly known as ADHD — is a common neurodevelopmental condition. Although awareness of ADHD has increased, there’s still more work needed as ADHD continues to be surrounded by stigma and misunderstanding. People who live with this condition are often labeled as “lazy” or scatter-brained, which isn’t true.

Visual symbols can be an important part of spreading awareness. One ADHD awareness symbol is the rainbow butterfly. To many people, this represents the idea that ADHD is colourful and full of possibility — not something to hide.

How does PJ ADHD work to help?

Our primary specialisms are to help people with known ADHD through careful coaching sessions and, for those who believe they have ADHD, to give assistance in navigating the diagnosis process. This includes NHS, Right to Choose and Private. When you contact us, Peter Wilson, PJ ADHD’s founder and specially trained ADHD coach and adviser, will outline the choices that are available to you and how you can book the personal online sessions at a time that will be convenient for you. There are sessions available during evenings and weekends and face-to-face coaching and advice is also available if living in Oxfordshire.
